Fixes for the most common DecorAI problems: distorted results, failed or slow generations, blocked images, upload errors, missing designs, ads that will not load and app crashes.
Distorted results almost always come from the input photo. Retake it with the camera held level, from a doorway or corner, without the ultra-wide lens, and with the lights on — then regenerate with Keep Exact Photo Angle and Keep Room Details enabled.
Change one thing at a time and be more concrete. Name the materials and colours you want in the free-text field, reduce the number of design controls to two or three, and make sure the style and the instructions are not pulling in opposite directions.
Most DecorAI designs finish in under 10 seconds, but during peak demand a generation can take 20 to 60 seconds, and a slow connection adds upload time on top. Keep the app open, or watch the Live Activity on iPhone. If nothing happens after a couple of minutes, close and reopen the app and try again.
Try once more — most failures are transient and DecorAI automatically reroutes to another AI provider on the next attempt. If it keeps failing, check your connection, update the app, use a smaller photo, and make sure your instruction describes a space rather than people.
DecorAI runs automated safety checks on the uploaded photo, the written instruction and the generated result. A block usually means the photo’s subject is a person, the image is not a room or space, or the instruction asked for content outside what DecorAI generates. Retake the photo of the space itself and describe the room rather than people.
Switch to Wi-Fi, crop or resize the photo, and confirm DecorAI has permission to access your photo library. Uploads that fail repeatedly are usually a weak mobile connection or a very large file rather than a problem with the image itself.
Your free allowance resets the next day. Until then you can keep browsing History and the Community, build Moodboards, chat with the AI assistants and plan Projects — none of which consume a generation — or upgrade to Pro for unlimited designs with no ads.
Rewarded videos need a working internet connection and are served by an ad network, so they occasionally fail. Check your connection, close and reopen DecorAI, and try again in a minute. If videos consistently fail to load, Pro removes them altogether.
Check that you are signed in to the same DecorAI account you used when you created them. History created while signed out lives only on that device, so reinstalling the app or switching phones loses it — while History created while signed in is restored automatically once you sign back in.
Saving needs permission to write to your photo library. Grant it in iOS Settings → DecorAI → Photos, or Android Settings → Apps → DecorAI → Permissions, then try again. Also check that your device has free storage space.
DecorAI needs an internet connection for every generation. Switch to Wi-Fi, turn any VPN off, and retry. Corporate, school and hotel networks sometimes block the services DecorAI uses, in which case mobile data is the quickest test.
Update DecorAI to the latest version first — most odd behaviour is already fixed. Then restart the app, restart the device, and make sure there is free storage. If it still crashes, reinstall the app; your designs are safe as long as you are signed in.
Reload app.decoraihome.com with a hard refresh, allow cookies for the site, update your browser, and disable strict tracking protection or extensions that block scripts. If it still fails, try a different browser or a private window to isolate the cause.
Email decorai@rocketdigital.ai. Include the platform you are using (iPhone, Android or web), the app version, the email address on your DecorAI account, what you were doing, and a screenshot of any error message — that information is usually enough to resolve a case in one reply.
