My photo will not upload. What should I do?
Updated August 19, 2026
Short answer
Switch to Wi-Fi, crop or resize the photo, and confirm DecorAI has permission to access your photo library. Uploads that fail repeatedly are usually a weak mobile connection or a very large file rather than a problem with the image itself.
- 1Switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi.
- 2Crop the photo inside the app β a smaller file uploads faster and more reliably.
- 3Check permissions: iOS Settings β DecorAI β Photos; Android Settings β Apps β DecorAI β Permissions.
- 4Close and reopen the app.
- 5Try the web app at app.decoraihome.com to isolate whether it is the device.

Photos and uploadsWhich image formats and sizes does DecorAI accept?DecorAI accepts standard photo formats including JPG, PNG, HEIC and WEBP β which covers essentially every photo an iPhone or Android phone takes. Aim for at least about 1024 pixels on the shortest side; ordinary phone photos are comfortably above that.iPhone & Android featuresWhich permissions does DecorAI ask for, and why?DecorAI asks for camera access to photograph a room, photo library access to pick or save images, and notification permission for generation and reminder alerts. Every one of them is optional β you can decline and still use the app, though the related feature will not work.TroubleshootingWhy do I keep getting network or connection errors?DecorAI needs an internet connection for every generation. Switch to Wi-Fi, turn any VPN off, and retry. Corporate, school and hotel networks sometimes block the services DecorAI uses, in which case mobile data is the quickest test.
