Which permissions does DecorAI ask for, and why?
iOSAndroidUpdated August 19, 2026
Short answer
DecorAI asks for camera access to photograph a room, photo library access to pick or save images, and notification permission for generation and reminder alerts. Every one of them is optional — you can decline and still use the app, though the related feature will not work.
| Permission | Used for | If denied |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Taking a photo of the space | Upload from the gallery instead |
| Photos / storage | Choosing a photo and saving results | You cannot pick or save images |
| Notifications | Generation finished, free designs reset | No notifications; nothing else changes |
Permissions can be changed later in iOS Settings → DecorAI, or Android Settings → Apps → DecorAI → Permissions.
