Who owns the designs DecorAI generates?
Updated August 19, 2026
Short answer
You keep ownership of the original photos you upload, and the designs you generate are yours to use, including for client work when you are on Pro (which removes the watermark). The exact terms are set out in the DecorAI Terms of Service.
- Upload only photos you own or have permission to modify
- A design generated from an inspiration image is a new image, not a copy of the original
- Label virtually staged property photos as digitally staged
- AI images are concepts — do not present them as photographs of a finished build
